Fine dining for all

As a Culinary Institute of America graduate, Chef Arvin’s passion for food emerged upon his arrival to the US from his native country of Guyana.

Chef Arvin’s impressive resume includes five-star hotels, such as Le Parker Meridien, Hotel Plaza Athene and the Loews Regency. He brought his fine dining approach into the catering world and became one of the top chefs in New York City, serving as the Executive Chef of Relish Caterers where he led the catering team for events including the FOX Upfronts and The Global Citizen Festival for five consecutive years. He then served as Executive Chef for The Rose Group where he cooked for Presidents Obama and Bush and Secretary Clinton.

After his time in the northeast, Chef Arvin relocated to Texas with his family and joined the Aramark Corporation, starting at Southern Methodist University and then joining the team at AT&T headquarters as senior Executive Chef.

Changing minds with elevated cuisine

As a person who always wanted to give back, he decided to join the team at Baylor Scott & White Heart – Plano. Chef Arvin believes there is a need for elevated cuisine in healthcare and feels he can make a difference by changing the stigma of hospital food. His approach to the culinary world has won him many accolades and awards. Chef Arvin’s continued effort to deliver great food is a constant demand for himself and his brigade at the Baylor Scott & White Heart – Plano.
